Christa’s Overlay Shaker Kitchen

Christa came to us amidst her new build project. With a large kitchen living space, she wanted to create a room that flowed, and the design to lent it self well to a ‘lived in’ feel. Having already purchased a large, dark antique island, therefore her brief was to us to design a modern shaker-style kitchen, to work with the existing island and creating a balance between the old and new.

We agreed on an overlay shaker kitchen, which added a modern touch to the traditional. With the cabinetry painted in ‘Drop Cloth’ Farrow and Ball, we added Calacatta Dorado quartz for the worktops, and continued this style through to the utility room and pantry, where functionality and style was at the forefront of the design.

The last addition to the project was this double vanity unit. Made in maple, and painted in Christa’s chosen colour of ‘Windmill Lane’ from the Little Green Company, to add a splash of colour to her new bathroom.
