Deanna and Raymond visited us early on in their project converting a derelict barn into their lovely new home. Coming to us at this stage provided us valuable time to work together to design a kitchen that suited their new space and lifestyle.
The couple were set on a shaker style kitchen to compliment their barn, and after considering various different options of shaker detail, the couple decided on a modern overlay shaker style, which continues through to the utility room. We designed the kitchen space to include the perfect sized central island just for the two of them, which has been painted in Farrow & Ball Card Room Green, with French Grey for the perimeter cabinetry.
Deanna and Raymond had a great vision of how they wanted to be using their new kitchen, therefore we could look at different storage options for them, and came up with this tall pantry dresser to hide away daily necessities, yet enable easy access when required by tucking the doors away to leave open shelving.
We love the simplicity of Deanna and Raymond’s kitchen, the small details that were chosen to work so well for the couple, and the materials, birch ply internals and the touches of solid oak, all singing in harmony with the kitchen’s converted barn surroundings.
Since completing this kitchen and utility project, we have also been asked to produce bootroom furniture and a wardrobe for this lovely home.
Here are some more of the projects we are proud to have made.
