The main emphasis of this kitchen brief was to design a large island, which could also incorporate a table and curved seating. This provided us a challenge, but a task we were thoroughly excited about. After a few head scratching moments coming up with how best to curve the seating into the island, the result is a lovely family dining and living area.

Johnny wanted a traditional, hand-crafted feel, so an inframe shaker was the chosen style, made in solid maple, with oak drawers. The quality of the materials shines through the finished cabinetry, and is compliment with a Stone World ‘Calacatta Fantasy’ quartz worktop. .

And then there was this little gem of a space added into our brief, a beautiful oak wine room to design. Johnny wanted this ‘cubby hole’ space to the side of the kitchen to become a place to store his wine. This was a joy to create, allowing our team to think creatively, and using beautiful solid oak throughout to maximise the appearance and use of this ‘nook’ to it’s full potential.

And last but not least, we took the traditional shaker style through to the utility and boot rooms. These smaller spaces feel warm and bright, and are designed with bespoke storage to scurry away all the untidier elements of daily life activities in to.

We absolutely love the quality and feel of this project, and look forward to sharing the memories one day about the project’s journey with Johnny over a glass of wine.
